George Clooney could be Soderbergh’s “Man from U.N.C.L.E.”

By Sean O’Connell Hollywoodnews.com: George Clooney reportedly is eyeing the lead role in Steven Soderbergh’s “Man from U.N.C.L.E.” reboot, which we reported on yesterday. Well, naturally. Clooney and Soderbergh are frequent collaborators and close friends. The pictures they made together, from the “Ocean’s” trilogy to “Out of Sight,” fall in line with the expected tone of “U.N.C.L.E.” If the two were looking for a project on which to once again work, this seems like it would be right up their creative alley. Anyway, The Hollywood Reporter says Clooney and Soderbergh have “talked and met” about the film, but acknowledges both are very busy with current projects – “Contagion” for Soderbergh and “The Ides of March” for Clooney – so it would be some time before either of them shouted “U.N.C.L.E.” for Warner Bros.
